The Task

As an ambitious competitor to Invisalign, Orapharma sought to differentiate itself by offering a more personalized, efficient, and user-centric orthodontic care experience. The company aimed to leverage cutting-edge technology, embracing a mobile app as a pivotal tool to interact with users, track their progress, and provide real-time support throughout their orthodontic journey.

brand compliance was paramount

In the initial stages of the project, one of the primary objectives was to maintain brand consistency and uphold the core values of Orapharma. This required a deep understanding of their existing branding guidelines, including color schemes, typography, and visual elements. By closely aligning my design decisions with these guidelines, the app's aesthetics reflected Orapharma’s identity while giving users a sense of familiarity and trust. Their product was OraFit and needed an app name that would instill value and trust to their users. I chose OraFit Assist.

Dynamic user EXPERIENCE created

I wanted the user to feel like the app was an extension of their aligners. Seamless operation of the app with simple gestures, easy to use features, and personalization for each patient all allowed the users to feel at home in their dental journey.

In Conclusion

From ideation to implementation, I navigated the challenges and embraced the opportunities that emerged during this exciting journey. I was able to create a working prototype for the client so run through and they had nothing but positive feedback. The most rewarding part of this project was that I was able to teach myself a new software program and create a “working” app in two weeks. The outcome was not just an app but a tool that empowered users and transforming their smiles one step at a time.
